Design Engineer - Concrete Products

Position Objectives:
Perform structural analysis and design and 3D CAD modeling of precast, post-tensioned, concrete tanks. Assist senior engineers to oversee the preparation of Erection and Production drawings. Position
Responsibilities:
Perform structural analysis and design of precast, post-tensioned concrete tanks in compliance with appropriate design codes. Perform stripping and handling calculations for precast concrete panels. Assist senior engineers, as needed, to oversee the preparation of Erection and Production drawings for precast, post-tensioned concrete tanks. Assist senior engineers, as needed, to coordinate with the Project Management, Production and Construction departments to produce and install tanks within established budgets and schedules. Contribute to efforts within the Engineering Department to continuously improve quality and efficiency of structural designs. Contribute to efforts in the Engineering and Drafting Department to continuously improve efficiency of workflow. Travel to job sites to inspect the work, as needed. Diligently work to learn how to interpret Contract Documents for environmental engineering tank projects. Diligently work to obtain proficiency in analysis and design of all types of tanks produced. Diligently work to earn registration as a Professional Engineer.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Civil Engineering, or equivalent Engineer-in-Training certificate Knowledgeable in basic structural analysis and design Reinforced concrete design Foundation design Experience with 3D CAD modeling software desired, but not a requirement Technical writing Recommended Skills 3d Model Calculations Cladding (Construction) Construction Financial Management Professional Engineer Apply to this job.
